## What a month looks like

- **An S for a few hours a day:** 4 hours on each of 22 workdays is 88 hours, about $5.28.
- **An M for a long agent run:** a 6-hour job costs about $0.96.
- **An L running tests for 20 minutes:** about $0.11.
- **An M left on for a whole month:** 730 hours, about $116.80. That's what auto-sleep is for (below).

## Machines sleep when nobody uses them

A machine that goes an hour without use stops by itself, so a forgotten machine doesn't run all month. In use means an
SSH session is connected, a terminal or VS Code tab is open, Claude Code or Codex is working on it, or its CPU or
network is busy. Its files are kept; start it again from its card in under a minute. If a job needs to run unattended,
turn on Keep awake for that machine.

## Disk

Each size includes the disk in the table. Presets can take more in 15 GB steps, up to twice the default, at $0.10 per
GB a month ($1.50 per 15 GB). Custom machines choose from 30 to 500 GB. A stopped machine keeps its disk until you
delete the machine.

## Every machine includes

- Ubuntu 24.04 with root through sudo, and Docker
- Claude Code and Codex, VS Code in the browser, a web terminal that works on phones, git, gh and tmux
- A stack: Web (Node 22, pnpm, Yarn, Bun, TypeScript, Playwright with Chromium), Python (uv, JupyterLab, Ruff) or Go
  and Rust
- Its own virtual machine on an isolated network, reachable over SSH with your keys
- Files and Ports on its page, with preview links for your dev servers
